The College of the Redwoods women fell 71-66 at home to Napa Valley in basketball on Thursday afternoon.

Rachel Valdez scored a team-high 16 points in the loss, as the Corsairs dropped to 4-7 on the season.

Kathryce Danzuka added 14 points in the loss, while teammate Kallie Schoembachler chipped in 13 points.

The Corsairs will try to bounce back when they travel to play at the Moorpark tournament next week, opening against Irvine Valley on Friday (Dec. 16) at 2 p.m.

Napa Valley improved to 4-4.

Chico State 75, Cal Poly Humboldt 63

The Lumberjacks saw an early lead evaporate in a 12-point loss to Chico State at Lumberjack Arena on Thursday night.

With the loss, the Jacks dropped to 3-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference.

Madison Parry scored a game-high 22 points for Cal Poly and also had seven rebounds, while teammate Devon Lewis added 16 points, six boards and six assists.

Chico State improved to 6-3 and 3-1.
