The last two remaining H-DNL teams in the North Coast Section volleyball playoffs lost their quarterfinals on Saturday night.

In Division 4, the Del Norte Warriors fell 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-15 at Saint Mary’s, while in Division 6 St. Bernard’s lost 25-18, 25-18, 26-24 at San Francisco Waldorf.

The losses end successful seasons for both teams, which each won a league title.

The Warriors were a perfect 8-0 in the Big 4 on their way to the league pennant and won their playoff opener at home to Healdsburg on Wednesday.

The Del Norte girls were seeded No. 6 in their bracket, while Saint Mary’s is No. 3.

“Their team did the little things better than we did tonight,” Del Norte head coach Meagan Curtis said. “I am extremely proud of our girls and the season that they played.”

The Crusaders, meanwhile, refused to go down easily on the road at the No. 1 seeds in their bracket, barely falling 26-24 in the third set.

The SB girls were seeded No. 8 in their bracket and won their playoff opener at home against No. 9 Holy Names early run the week.

The Crusaders also went undefeated in league play on the way to a Little 5 championship.
