The Del Norte Warriors scored twice in each half on the way to a 4-0 win over South Fork in Crescent City in boys soccer on Saturday.
The Warriors moved the ball well throughout and played solid defense, posting the shutout over the smaller school.
Mario Ledezma opened the scoring in the first half, with Andy Garcia assisting on the goal, the first of his two assists for the day.
Brandt Pennington made it 2-0 before halftime from the penalty spot.
The home team added to the lead after the interval when Lyon Rigden found the back of the net of of a Garcia corner kick.
Eyan Smith closed out the scoring on a long range shot.
“We played a good attacking game with swift passing and movement and were disciplined at the back,” Del Norte head coach David Sanyaolu said. “I am proud of the boys for a very good performance while appreciating South Fork for their effort.”
