The Del Norte Warriors made it two straight victories to begin league play with a 5-0 win over McKinleyville in Crescent City on Thursday.
Mario Ledezma scored twice in the first half to give the Warriors an early advantage and Aron Vue added another to give them a three-goal lead at the break.
Brandt Pennington scored for the second straight game in the second half to make it 4-0, before Grayson Franklin closed out the scoring.
“Our attack was on point all game long and we defended well in the later stages when we were on the back foot as a result of being a man down,” head coach David Sanyaolu said. “I’m proud of the boys for a great game and a fantastic result.”
It was also the second straight shutout win for the Warriors, who beat Fortuna 3-0 in Tuesday’s opener.
The loss was the second straight in league play for the Panthers.
Defensively, Daniel Jones had a strong game for Mack.
