Cal Poly Humboldt women stretch unbeaten streak to four

Since dropping their opening game of the season, the Cal Poly Humboldt women are unbeaten in four straight games on the soccer field.

They stretched their winning streak to three straight with an exciting 4-3 win over Biola at College Creek Field on campus on Thursday afternoon.

And they had plenty of balance offensively.

Jysabella Tolentino, Emma McChristie, Erin Mohr and Morgan Young each netted in the win, with Frida Duran Arellano assisting on two goals.

Goalkeepetr Carson Thomson-Terrel had a season-high five saves in the win, as the Jacks improved to 3-1-1.

Next up, the Jacks travel to Chico for a game against Azusa Pacific on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

The Cal Poly men also won this week, defeating Simpson University 7-0 at College Creek Field on Wednesday.

Edgar Gonzalez scored a hat trick in the win, while teammate Juan Perez netted twice and added two assists.

Dylan Tovani also had three assists, as the Jacks recorded their first win of the new season and improved to 1-1-3.

Next up, the Humboldt men will host Academy of Art on Monday at noon.
