There were plenty of fireworks on and off the track at Redwood Acres Raceway on Saturday night as Harper Motors presented a thrilling evening of racing in all five divisions.

The night featured the Firecracker 100 for the Late Models, as well as the first visit of the season by the Upstate Bomber Series, and a fireworks display to cap off an entertaining evening.

Despite being reduced from 100 to 60 laps because of a small field, the Late Models feature did not lack excitement.

Luke Hall dominated for much of the race, but had his hands full holding off a competitive field.

With 14 laps remaining, however, David Miller managed to power under Hall off the second turn to take the lead and he was able to hold on the rest of the way for the checkered flag.

Mike Doss placed second, with Dane Nissen third, David Henderson fourth and Nick Ford in fifth.

Loren Powers, Jr., won the Upstate Bombers Series main event, followed by Ryan Walters. Raquel Krupa, Forrest Kuecker and Anthony Fomasi.

The Legends division featured two main events.

In the first, Jordan Paiment and Brett Murrell battled neck and neck for much of the race, with Paiment taking a late lead and holding on for the win.

Murrell held on to second, followed across the line by Tyler Krupa, Tyler Avelar and Scott Taylor.

Avelar would have better luck in the second main and got his first-ever win in the division.

Murrell placed second again, followed by Krupa, Paiment and David Dunlap.

The Mini Stock main was won by Gannon Cyphers, followed by Cole Peterson, Joe Bonomini, Gary Klinetobe and Colton Kinsey.

Tanisha Ratzlaff, meanwhile, placed first in the Roadrunners main event, followed by Dylan Ford, Solomon Kessenich, Ryan David and Nick Ford.

The next night of racing at the local track will be on July 30.

The night will feature the Legends Of The Redwoods Shootout with the top drivers in the region expected to compete alongside the raceway regulars.

The night will also feature the Mini stocks and Bombers.
