VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS — Crusaders take control in the third inning

By Ray Hamill — A big third inning saw the St. Bernard’s Crusaders take control of Thursday’s CIF NorCal Division-3 semifinal at Crusader Field.

The home team scored four runs in the inning on the way to a comfortable 8-0 victory over Central High and will now play in the NorCal championship game, which is scheduled for Monday.

Check out some of our game highlights above, including the big third inning, with base hits by Nick Dugan, Jeran Ford and Perry Bailey.

Nick Dugan got the win on the mound, his 11th of the season, and received a big ovation from a packed house when he was relieved late in the game because of his pitch count.

  1. Wow! What an accomplishment, really, against a team from a school of over 4,200 enrollment!!

    Absolutely a stunning outcome, and history making for sure.
