Hailey Dolcini is closing out a remarkable collegiate career in style.
On Friday, the former Fortuna Husky and four-time Big 5 MVP pitched a gem to lead the Texas Longhorns back from the brink of elimination in a clutch 3-1 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in the Division-I Super Regionals in Arkansas.
One day after dropping the series opener to the No. 4 team in the nation, Dolcini gave up just one run on five hits and a walk, while striking out two.
The Texas women scored three times in the bottom of the third inning to overturn a one-run deficit.
Dolcini, who continues to serve as an inspiration to young softball players all across the North Coast, is now just one win from a trip to the College World Series.
The Longhorns and Razorbacks will face off in the series decider on Saturday at 1 p.m.
