Former McKinleyville Panther Cameron Saso will play for a state championship in JC baseball next weekend after the Folsom Lake College Falcons won a pair of one-run games against San Joaquin Delta in the North finals on Friday and Saturday.
The Falcons, who have won six straight playoff games to reach the four-team state tournament, won 5-4 and 4-3.
The state championships get under way next Saturday and Saso and the Falcons will play Riverside in their opening game.
The two-way player, who plays shortstop and pitches for Folsom Lake, will play for the Humboldt Crabs this summer.
