St. Bernard’s boys take care of business against Hoopa

St. Bernard’s continued to roll in Little 4 baseball on Saturday, comfortably winning both ends of a doubleheader at home to Hoopa, 18-0 and 16-1.

The Crusaders, who gave up just one hit all day, improved to 6-0 in league and 13-3 overall and used all 20 players on their roster.

Grady Griffin, a recent JV call-up, finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs in game two, while Seth Brunton was 2-for-4 with five RBIs in the opener.

Aidan Dorsch and Jeran Ford each also had two hits in game one, including a double each, while Braeden Zimmerman had two doubles and Cayden Lee one.

The Crusaders will play five games next week, all on the road, including league doubleheaders at South Fork on Tuesday and at Ferndale next Saturday, with an intriguing matchup at Eureka sandwiched in between on Thursday afternoon.

Hoopa is now 0-6 in there Little 4 and 1-12 overall.

The Warriors will host South Fork on Friday.
