By Ray Hamill — Former Eureka Logger Jake Hanson will remain with the Green Bay Packers after signing a one-year deal with the team worth $825,000.

The Packers began their offseason program this week and Hanson was one of six players the team re-signed on Monday.

The 2015 Eureka High graduate was drafted by Green Bay in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft after a very successful college career playing for the University Oregon.

He spent his first season in the NFL on the Packers practice squad, before being promoted to the active roster for 2021 and appearing in five games on special teams.
