Sophomore Nate Hill turned in the performance of the day for the Eureka boys golf team at the Bandon Dunes tournament on Wednesday, as the Loggers continued to roll.

The tournament was a “Ryder Cup” style matchplay format, and the Loggers teamed up with three other schools to win the eight-team event on the Bandon Trails course.

All of the Eureka golfers scored points for their team, but it was Hill who turned in what head coach Karen Griffith described as “arguably the top performance for the team.”

The sophomore battled back to tie his opening match and went on to win his second match and score 1.5 points for the team.

Talon Vigil, Julian Goodman, Jerome Lyons and Andrew Stewart each also competed for Eureka.

The team also featured golfers from Capital High and Snohomish High out of Washington, as well as University Prep of Redding.

The Loggers, who hold a 75-stroke lead in the H-DNL, will close out league play at the Eureka Municipal Golf Course on April 28th.
