
Julian Goodman posted the best score of the day in the latest round of H-DNL boys golf action at the Baywood Golf and Country Club on Monday, as the Eureka Loggers extended their lead in the season standings.
Goodman led another strong performance by the Loggers, finishing with a round of 82, two strokes better than teammate Talon Vigil and St. Bernard’s Jack Kramer, who each carded an 84 to tie for second.
As a team, the dominating Loggers were 22 strokes better than Fortuna in second and now lead the season standings by 42 strokes, with Arcata in second.
The Eureka boys had five golfers score under 100 at Baywood, including Jerome Lyons (91), Nate Hill (98) and Andrew Stewart (98).
Arcata’s Mason Alway, Fortuna’s Lucas Senestraro and McKinleyville’s Mitchell Lyell each also had impressive rounds.
Alway posted an 86, Senestraro an 87 and Lyell an 88.


Beck Pederson (89) also had a good round for Arcata, while Logan Calvert (90) and Adam Calvert (95) also impressed for the Huskies.
Kai Russell paced Del Norte with a 95, Drake Savage led the way for South Fork with a 112, and Littlefoot Williams led Hoopa with a 134.
League play continues next week at Del Norte.
