The Corsairs closed out an impressive first-ever regular season in women’s tennis this week, dropping a pair of matches and finishing up 3-3 in the Big 8 North Conference.

The College of the Redwoods women lost 6-3 to Folsom Lake and 9-0 to Sierra College.

The Corsairs, who started the new season 3-1, will now turn their attention to the playoffs, which get under way next week and will feature team, doubles and singles tournaments.

“For our first year, I’m extremely proud of all my players efforts and attitudes,” head coach Jason Maki said.
