By Ray Hamill — The College of the Redwoods men’s basketball team advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a come-from-behind 91-83 win over Diablo Valley College on Tuesday night.

Freshman Jon Nchekwube was instrumental in the late surge, scoring 14 of his team-high 20 points in the second half, as the CR men closed out the game on a 22-5 run.
