Two of the weekend NCS games to be broadcast on local radio

Ray Hamill/ – Peyton Smith and the Crusaders will host Mendocino on Saturday night.

A pair of North Coast Section basketball playoff games will be broadcast live on local radio on Saturday.

In Division 6, the St. Bernard’s boys game against Mendocino, which tips off at 7 p.m., will be broadcast on MIX 95.1 FM, with the pregame show getting under way at 6:45 p.m.

In Division 4, the Del Norte boys game against University at historic Kezar Pavilion in San Francisco will also be broadcast live on KPOD 97.9 FM, as well as through the school’s website, with tip off set for 4:30 p.m.

Five other local teams will also be in action in the NCS playoffs on Saturday.

The South Fork girls and boys will host a doubleheader, with the girls playing Credo at 5:30 p.m., and the boys playing Rio Lindo Adventist at 7 p.m.,

The Ferndale girls will also host a game, playing California School for the Deaf at 7 p.m., while the Arcata girls will play at Marin Catholic at 5:30 p.m.

The McKinleyville boys round out a busy day for H-DNL teams and will play at Justin-Siena at 7 p.m.

The games featuring the Arcata girls, Ferndale girls, McKinleyville boys and South Fork girls and boys are all scheduled to be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
