Cal Poly Humboldt men and women fall to Dominguez Hills

Both Cal Poly Humboldt basketball teams lost to Cal State Dominguez Hills at Lumberjack Arena on Thursday night.

The Humboldt women fell 60-53, while the men lost 68-65 in double-overtime.

Jaden Edwards had a double-double for the Humboldt men, finishing with 18 points and 13 rebounds, as the Jacks fell to 4-11 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and 10-11 overall.

Former Arcata Tiger Thomas Nelson added five boards and two points.

The loss was the fifth straight for the Jacks.

The Cal Poly women, meanwhile, were led by Madison Parry, who also had a double-double, finishing with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The loss was the second straight for the Cal Poly women, who dropped to 6-8 in conference and 7-11 overall.

Both Jacks teams will be back in action on Saturday night when they host Cal State East Bay.

The women trip off fast 5:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7:30 p.m.
