Redwoods softball opens the new season on the road

Bronwyn Arnold hit successfully in all four games this weekend, as the College of the Redwoods softball team began the new season on the road.

The Corsairs dropped all four games, losing 12-4 and 13-6 to Hartnell on Friday, and then falling 10-1 to West Valley and 11-0 to Santa Rosa at Santa Rosa on Saturday.

Arnold was 3-for-3 in the opener, and added four more hits over the following three games.

Sadie Hampton also had three hits in game two against Hartnell, while Brooke Faraimo had a pair of hits in both games on opening day, including a double.

Samantha Caughie also played well this weekend, hitting successfully in three of the four games, while Kylee Dewey and Kyla Pontoni each doubled.
