It was raining 3s in Miranda on Saturday afternoon, as the Arcata Tigers quickly got back to winning ways.

Two days after a disappointing loss at Eureka in the Big 5, the Tigers had 16 3-pointers in a comfortable 73-32 win over South Fork.

Sophomore Kaiya Grubb had four 3s on her way to 12 points in the win, while senior teammate Vivian Cronin had three 3s on her way to a team-high 13 points.

Lily Rust-Kelley and Nora Talty each also had eight points as the Tigers improved to 12-8 on the season with their fifth win in six games.

Olivia Railsback chipped in seven points.

Summer Contreras scored a game-high 14 points for the Cubs, who dropped to 8-7, while teammate Cadence Young scored eight points.

Both teams will return to league play next week.

The Cubs play at Hoopa on Monday, while the Tigers host Del Norte on Tuesday.
