By Ray Hamill — Multiple weekend high school basketball games have been postponed because of COVID protocols, as just about every H-DNL team continues to be affected.
Friday night’s Big 5 showdown between the McKinleyville and Arcata girls has been called and will now take place on Monday Jan. 17 at Arcata High.
A pair of games between McKinleyville and St. Bernard’s boys and girls, which were supposed to take place on Saturday, have also been postponed, with no make-up date yet.
The Del Norte boys were also forced to postpone a scheduled game against Brookings-Harbor on Thursday night.
Both Humboldt State and College of the Redwoods also were forced to either cancel or postpone men’s and women’s basketball games this week.
