The Humboldt State softball team has released the 2022 schedule, which is set to begin on Feb. 2.
The schedule features 36 conference games, including 16 at home, and will be the first full season for the team in three years.
The Jacks went 8-6 in an abbreviated 2021 season, playing all road games, after going 7-16 in 2020 before the season was canceled in early March.
The HSU women will open the 2022 campaign with a non-conference West Region doubleheader in the Bay Area at Holy Names University on Feb. 2.
They will continue the early road trip with six games in the state of Colorado, including games at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (Feb. 4), Regis University (Feb. 5) and Metropolitan State University of Denver (Feb. 6).
The Jacks will open the California Collegiate Athletic Association schedule at home to Chico State on March 4.
The CCAA Softball Championships will be held May 5-8 and will be hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay.
The winner of the CCAA Championships will receive the conference automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Softball Championships, with the West Region tournament beginning on May 12 at a site to be announced.
