The Fortuna girls closed out the Enterprise tournament with a 51-36 win over Weed on Thursday.
Teal Mostovoy and Isobel Crosswhite were each named to the all-tournament team for the Huskies, who finished the three-day event 1-2.
Mostovoy scored a team-high 21 points in Thursday’s win, while Crosswhite and Haylee Youkey each scored eight points.
The Huskies opened tournament play with a 49-36 loss to the host school on Tuesday and followed that with a 60-51 loss to Fall River on Wednesday.
After a six-hour drive on opening day, the Fortuna girls began the game a little sluggish, especially on offense, and managed just four first-half points.
The Huskies, however, came alive after the break, scoring 21 points in the third quarter and cutting the deficit to just three in the final quarter.
“Our team never gave up,” head coach Tom Chapman said. “I am proud of their effort.”
Crosswhite continued to impress and finished the game with a team-high 12 points, while Kylee Fennell added eight points and Gabby Stephens and Mostovoy finished with six points each.
Mostovoy followed that with 17 points against Fall River, while Crosswhite added 12 points and Briza Contreras nine.
