
Humboldt State Athletics – HSU”s Julia Iman posted her second double-double of the season Saturday.
The Humboldt State women’s basketball team defeated Cal State Monterey Bay 65-59 at Lumberjack Arena on Saturday night for the Jacks’ second straight conference win.
Julia Iman recorded her second double-double of the season in the victory, scoring a season-high 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Freshman Jadence Clifton out of Del Norte played a season-high 14 minutes in the win and finished with three rebounds and a pair of assists.
The Jacks, who have won three straight and are now 3-3, open a three-game road trip when they play at Stanislaus State on Saturday.
The HSU men, meanwhile, rallied from a late 11-point deficit to force overtime on Saturday, but lost to the Otters 77-74 and dropped to 0-2 in conference play.
Jaden Edwards posted his fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 12 boards.
The Jacks (5-2) will close out a six-game home stand on Thursday when they host Simpson at 7 p.m.
