The Eureka girls continued their impressive start to the new season with a dominating performance against an over-matched River Valley team at the Placer tournament on Thursday night.
McKenna Beach scored a game-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers, as Eureka won 73-19 and improved to 3-1 on the young season.
“It was great team basketball,” Eureka assistant coach Jess Genaro said. “We ran the floor really well and stayed out of foul trouble. I think it was our most solid game yet.”
Amaya Gee also had a big game and chipped in 11 points as all 11 Eureka players scored.
The Loggers outscored their opponents 20-0 in the opening quarter and led by 36 at halftime.
