Ray Hamill/HumboldtSports.com – The Arcata Tigers will play San Lorenzo at Humboldt State University on Friday night.
By Ray Hamill — A number of local football games have switched venue for this weekend because of field conditions at McKinleyville High School, including an opening round North Coast Section playoff game.
Arcata High will now host its first-round NCS game against San Lorenzo at the Redwood Bowl instead, the first football game to be played at the iconic local stadium in a couple of years.
The game takes place on Friday night at 7 p.m.
The three Six Rivers Youth Football championship games have also switched from Mack High and will now be played at Husky Field in Fortuna on Sunday.
The action gets under way at 9:30 a.m., when Eel River plays McKinleyville in the A Championship game.
The AA championship between Ferndale and Eel River kicks off at noon, followed by the AAA championship game between Ferndale and Redwood at 2:30 p.m.
