By Ray Hamill — The Arcata Tigers held on for their seventh straight win on Friday night, beating the Panthers 38-32 in an entertaining showdown at Mack High.

Arcata quarterback Shane Purcell threw for five TDs in the victory, including two each to Carson Tucker and Oscar Carlson.

With the win, the Tigers clinched the Little 4 championship outright.

They are now 7-2 on the season, while the Panthers dropped to 4-4.
