Ray Hamill/HumboldtSports.com – St. Bernard’s QB Drew Sisemore in action against Eureka earlier this month.
By Ray Hamill — Tag Wotherspoon and MIX 95.1 FM will broadcast a Big 4 doubleheader on Saturday.
Wotherspoon and his crew will be live at St. Bernard’s on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as the Crusaders look to secure a conference sweep of crosstown rival, Eureka.
The game could have big playoff implications for both teams.
Later that day, Wotherspoon will be live again from Fortuna, as the Del Norte Warriors take on the Huskies with eyes on securing the conference championship outright.
The Warriors, who are 4-0 in the Big 4 with two games remaining, clinched at least a share of the championship with a win over St. Bernard’s last week.
Wotherspoon will be joined by former McKinleyville head coach Keoki Burbank for the Saturday afternoon game, with College of the Redwoods head coach Jason White joining him in the booth for Saturday night’s showdown.
Saturday night’s game, as with all Del Norte games, will also be broadcast live on KPOD 97.9 FM, with John Pritchett and John “Mad Dog” Horner calling the action.
