Ticket reminder as section playoffs finally return to the North Coast

By Ray Hamill — North Coast Section playoffs return to the area this week for the first time in over 20 months and fans are being reminded that tickets will only be available digitally.

Earlier this month, the NCS offices announced that tickets for playoff events will no longer be available for cash at the gate and available only through GoFan.co.

The Arcata Tigers will officially host the first NCS playoff game in any sport in the area since February of last year when Fort Bragg travels here for a first-round volleyball match on Wednesday night.

The Tigers are seeded No. 8 in the Division-4 bracket.

The St. Bernard’s girls, who are co-champions of the Little 4 and seeded No. 3 in Division 6, will also host on Saturday night when they play either Holy Names or Roseland Prep in a second-round match after receiving a first round bye.

Both of this week’s home matches are scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased through GoFan.co by searching the relevant school.

The Arcata Tigers host Fort Bragg on Wednesday night.

The H-DNL is advising any fans with questions or needing assistance to contact their local high school.

The NCS soccer playoffs kick off next week, with several local games expected.

The NCS football playoffs kick off in two weeks.
