By Ray Hamill — It was a disappointing night for the Eureka Loggers at Fortuna on Friday night, as they lost 34-27 to the Huskies.

One bright spot, however, was the team’s third TD of the night, with brothers Kayro and Lary Jimenez combining on a 29-yard touchdown pass on a trick play.

Kayro, a senior running back, took a handoff from quarterback Hans Chalmers and threw to a wide-open Lary in the end zone.

Lary is a junior receiver with the team.

With the loss, the Loggers dropped to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in the Big 4, but they have been right there in two of their three losses and could easily be 3-1 right now.

The Loggers host St. Bernard’s next Saturday night.
