The Legends division will take center stage at the Redwood Acres Raceway in September, with the biggest race the division has seen in its five years competing at the local track.

The Legends of the Redwoods race will feature two main events, which will pay a total of $2500 and are expected to attract some of the top drivers in the division from throughout the region.

The popularity of the division has spiked this season, with all Legends division races at the Acres sanctioned by the INEX and counting toward the national championship.

INEX is the third-largest racing sanctioning body behind NASCAR and International Motor Contest Association (IMCA), with more than 3,500 members, and it annually sanctions more than 2,500 races at more than 300 different tracks throughout the world.

The Legends of the Redwoods will take place on September 11 at the penultimate event of the RAR season.

Race one will pay $500 to the winner, while race two will pay $2,000 to win with the payout going all the way through to the 10th position.

More information about the Legends of the Redwoods, including competitor registration, will be available in the coming weeks at www.RacinTheAcres.com.
