Red-hot Vance leads the way for Eureka boys

Caden Vance continued to impress for the Loggers in boys basketball on Thursday night, as they got the better of Ferndale at Eureka High by a score of 80-64.

Vance scored a game-high 30 points in the win, which was the second straight for the Loggers, who are now 3-5.

Vance has been instrumental in the team’s recent good run, scoring 91 points in three games over the last week against Fortuna, Hoopa and Ferndale.

Emmitt Albee also continued to impress for Ferndale, scoring a team-high 23 points in the loss.

Hans Chalmers added 14 points for the Loggers, while teammate Donovan Millender chipped in 10 points.

Jack Westfall also had a good game for Ferndale, which dropped to 1-6 on the season, scoring 13, while teammate Aaiden Burris had 11 points.
