Gorge remains red hot at the plate for Shasta

Jaden Gorge’s impressive start to the new college baseball season continued on Thursday.

The former Arcata Tiger finished 5-for-5 for Shasta College in a 17-6 win over Lassen.

Gorge, who is batting .647 after four games this season, also scored five times in the win.

The game was part of a doubleheader, with Lassen taking game one earlier in the day by a score of 20-6.

Gorge, who has hit successfully in all four games for the 2-2 Knights, was 1-for-3 with a double in game one.

Former Eureka Logger Brady Munson also saw action on the mound for the Knights on Thursday.

Munson pitched 3.1 innings in the opener, allowing five hits and striking out two.
