By Ray Hamill — The Ferndale Wildcats’ first pass attempt of the season was a special one.
Midway through the second quarter of Friday’s 12-0 win at St. Bernard’s, the Christiansen brothers combined to break the deadlock on a 16-yard TD pass, with senior quarterback Jenner finding younger brother Kannon, a sophomore, open in the end zone.
“That was a pretty special moment for them,” Ferndale head coach Clint McClurg said.

Check out the video highlight of the TD above, along with a pair of interceptions by Cole Carmesin and Colson Renner.
And check out how pumped some of the players were to be back out on the field.
“They’ve got a veteran team and a lot of upperclassmen,” St. Bernard’s head coach Matt Tomlin said of the Cats. “Their coaching staff did a good job and the Ferndale players played a really good game.”

Thank you for “catching” that TD pass between Jenner and Kannon. Proud grandma here.
