Former St. Bernard’s standout Makenna Schoenhofer continued to impress at the Division-I level on Friday night, as the Seattle University women’s basketball team fell 66-56 to Utah Valley.
Schoenhofer finished with five points in 13 minutes, and rounded out a solid all-around contribution with a rebound, a steal and an assist.
The 13 minutes was a season second-best for the 2017 Crusaders graduate, who is healthy again this year and establishing herself with the team after battling a number of injuries since high school.
It was the Western Athletic Conference opener for the Redhawks.
The two teams played again on Saturday evening, with Utah Valley winning 78-66.
