By Ray Hamill — Makenna Schoenhofer’s season is building momentum.
The former St. Bernard’s standout is playing Division-I basketball at Seattle University and is coming off her best performance of the young season in a 106-39 victory over Northwest University on Thursday.
Schoenhofer recorded season-highs in points (11) and rebounds (five), while shooting 5-for-6 from the floor.
She also played a season-high 14 minutes in the win and capped a solid all-around performance with a steal.
The red-shirt sophomore guard has had to endure a couple of frustrating injury-plagued years since graduating St. Bernard’s in 2017, but appears fully healthy again this season.
The 2-3 Redhawks will play Montana on Tuesday.
