By Ray Hamill — It took a little longer than anticipated, but the UFC has found an opponent willing to fight Louis Cosce.
On Friday the Humboldt County native, who fights out of the Lost Boys gym in Arcata, was added to the UFC 255 card, where he will fight along with his older brother Orion in Las Vegas on November 21.
Louis will face off against Sasha Palatnikov — the first ever fighter from Hong Kong to feature in a UFC event — in a welterweight fight.
Last month, the UFC announced that Orion will fight Nicolas Dalby at UFC 255, also at welterweight.
Both Cosce brothers are 7-0 in the cage and earned a UFC contract after impressing at the Dana White Contender Series in August.
Louis has lived up to his nickname, “The Monster,” winning all seven of his fights in the opening round, including two in the opening 18 seconds.
Promoters have had problems finding opponents willing to face the 25-year-old since he turned pro a couple of years ago.
Palatnikov is 31 years old and has a record of 5-2.
Both Cosce brothers and Palatnikov will be making their UFC debuts.
