By Ray Hamill — Fresh off their recent success at the Dana White Contender Series in Las Vegas, Orion and Louis Cosce are ready to take a fight at short notice should the opportunity arise.
“They’re both staying sharp, they’re both still in very good shape,” trainer Brian Wilson said of the dynamic duo, who are each 7-0 as pros. “And they’re able to take a good opportunity at short notice.”
Wilson says he expects one or both of the brothers to be back in the cage in November.
However, the MMA fight scene is unpredictable at the best of times, with fighters frequently backing out late for any number of reasons or injuries, and that could create opportunities between now and then.
“MMA is one sport that’s thriving (at the UFC level) right now,” Wilson said. “And it’s creating a lot of opportunities for guys who can win quickly and come out of their fights unscathed, to put together back-to-back fights.”
In other local MMA news, six fighters from Wilson’s Lost Boys Gym will make the trip to Minnesota to fight in December.
