
Humboldt State Athletics – Amelia Wagoner
Humboldt State’s Amelia Wagoner has been named as the university’s nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
Wagoner, who graduated this past May with a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education and a minor in Geography, was a four-year letter-winner for the Lumberjacks’ nationally ranked women’s rowing team.
She is one of 161 college student athletes to be named a conference-level nominee for the prestigious award.
During her time at HSU, Wagoner volunteered at many community service activities and leadership positions.
The nominees for the award include student athletes from 21 different sports spanning all three NCAA divisions.
Of those nominated, 59 nominees competed in Division I, 39 in Division II and 63 in Division III.
Wagoner is from Coalinga, California.
