By Ray Hamill — For the week that’s in it, here’s a look back at one of the highlight plays of the 2019 football season, a brilliant 19-yard gain by St. Bernard’s senior Justin Hagler to set up a touchdown against Ferndale.
Hagler, who announced recently that he is taking his talents to Shasta College this coming fall, played a pivotal role in the Crusaders’ march to a state title last year.
Check out this highlight footage of Hagler bouncing off multiple tacklers to set up a Will Omey TD run a couple of plays later.
St. Bernard’s won the game 47-27.
Hagler, who was co-Defensive MVP of the Big 4 this past season, is one of numerous local players who have committed to play for the Knights.
The St. Bernard’s senior is expected to play linebacker for Shasta after starring at the position for the Crusaders.
