Humboldt State to replace Paul Karver as head coach

HSU Athletics – Paul Karver

Humboldt State announced on Wednesday evening that Paul Karver will not be brought back as the head coach of the women’s soccer program.

A press release said the school is now conducting a national search for a new head coach, and that Karver will be assigned to administrative duties.

Karver, a well-respected coach within the local soccer community, was in charge of the program for seven seasons, compiling a record of 34-75-9.

Last season the Jacks were 4-11-2.

HSU men’s soccer head coach Fred Jungemann will take on day-to-day operations of the women’s soccer program until a national search is completed.

In the press release, HSU praised Karver for his “commitment and leadership to our student athletes,” adding that “the university thanks Paul for his years of service.”

  1. Losses add up, ok, your fired, but so we do not get sued, we have an administration opening for you… musical chairs…out of respect….geezus gus… typical education system that fails time and again…

… did all the coaches from the former football program get administration jobs too, after all the whole program went, meaning everybody got fired…

HSU gives out clunker car renditions of their version of respect…
