College of the Redwoods baseball opened conference play with a pair of losses in a doubleheader at Lassen on Friday.
The Corsairs fell 16-1 ad 6-1.
Chandler Jones took the loss in the opener, although he got little help from either his offense or defense, with sloppy defensive play leading to big innings for the home team.
Bly Moser took the loss on the mound in game two, in what was a close matchup until late.
The CR men had opportunities but were unable to hit with runners in scoring position.
The two clubs close out a three-game weekend stand on Saturday.
CR is now 7-7 overall.
