Molly Dixon’s tip-in with 0.4 seconds left in the game lifted Humboldt State to a dramatic 74-73 victory at Sonoma State in women’s basketball on Saturday night.
The win was the fourth straight for the Lumberjacks, who find themselves in a tight race for a top-four spot in the CCAA with two games remaining.
The Jacks are now 11-9 in conference and 15-10 overall.
Alexia Thrower continued her remarkable season with a career-high 36 points in the win, while Tyra Turner finished with 18 points and Dixon 12.
Former H-DNL standout Sophie Northern scored four points for the Seawolves, who lost both games to HSU this season.
The HSU men dropped their fourth straight game, losing 79-67 at Sonoma State.
Christian Zachariah finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
HSU is now 4-16 in the CCAA and 8-17 overall.
