By Ray Hamill — The Corsairs will try to put a three-game losing streak in baseball behind them this weekend, as they return home to play Los Medanos in a three-game stand.

The series gets under way with two games on Friday, starting at 3 p.m., followed by a single game on Saturday at 11 a.m.

CR, which dropped three straight road games last weekend, is 6-3 on the season, while Los Medanos comes in at 4-2.

The Corsairs begin conference play at Lassen next weekend.

In softball, meanwhile, the CR women will try to keep their impressive start to the season going with a three-game road trip this weekend.

The Corsairs play at West Valley on Friday at 2 p.m., followed by Saturday games against American River (noon) and San Mateo (2 p.m.), both at San Mateo College.

CR is 5-2 on the young season, including a 3-1 road trip last weekend.
