Former US national women’s soccer team captain Christie Pearce Rampone will hold a soccer clinic at Humboldt State on April 4, before she serves as the keynote speaker at the university’s annual Celebrity Diner and Sports Auction that evening.
HSU announced details of the annual fundraiser this week, with further details on the clinic to follow.
Pearce Rampone is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time Women’s World Cup champion, serving as captain of the national team for eight years.
She played in five World Cups and four Olympics, including competing for the USA World Cup winning teams in 1999 and 2015.
The clinic is tentatively set for 11 a.m.
Tickets are now on sale for the dinner and sports auction, which will be held at Blue Lake Casino.
Individual tickets are $100, and all funds raised at the event will benefit Humboldt State student-athlete scholarships.
