UPDATED on Wednesday with info on where Del Norte game will be played
By Ray Hamill — Two H-DNL teams will compete for a state championship in football this weekend, when St. Bernard’s plays South out of Torrance in the 6-AA decider, and Del Norte plays El Monte for the 5-AA title.
It will be the first time two local teams have made it this far in the same year and the first time any H-DNL team gets to host a state bowl game.
Both games will be played on Saturday.
St. Bernard’s and South will play at the Redwood Bowl at 6 p.m., and Del Norte and El Monte will play in Crescent City, it was announced officially on Wednesday.

I appreciate all of your great articles about SB and DN. I also feel there is no reason for CIF to move the game out of Crescent City. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. Side note: KPOD is actually at 97.9 FM.
