By Ray Hamill — Demarte Prudhomme has wasted no time settling in at St. Bernard’s.
After transferring from Eureka this year, the sophomore was forced to sit out the first half of the season, but has had an immediate impact since making his debut for the Crusaders at Templeton last week.
And he has done so on both sides of the ball.
In addition to some outstanding defensive play in Friday’s 41-14 win over Stellar Prep at Crusader Field, Prudhomme also scored his first touchdown for the school on a four-yard reception from quarterback Will Omey late in the second quarter.
The score capped a big first half offensively for the Crusaders, who took a 28-0 lead into halftime.
