Prep Volleyball — Panthers continue to roll

The McKinleyville Panthers improved to 6-2 on the young volleyball season with a straight sets win over Hoopa on Tuesday night.

The Panthers won 25-12, 25-9, 25-9.

Senior Rian Heenan continued her impressive start to the new season, finishing with 11 kills, 15 digs and three aces.

Teammate and sister Cameron Heenan added nine kills and 12 digs, while Lexi White had 15 assists and five aces.

Ashley Alves also had a big night, finishing with 12 digs and six aces.

The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday when they host Brookings-Harbor.

The JVs get under way at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity at 6:30 p.m.
