If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.
Hopefully there won’t be too many wrenches flying around the Eureka High gymnasium this coming weekend, but it should be a fun day of dodgeball and a fun way to fundraise for the school’s Safe and Sober Class of 2019.
And there’s been plenty of interest in this one-day tournament, which will take place on Sunday, with several Eureka High students and staff teams already signing up.
The tournament will also feature a team of firefighters, as well as one from the Sheriff’s Department, the Eureka Police Department and the Forest Service.
The fundraiser gets under way at 9 a.m., and any other teams interested in participating can still sign up through Wednesday at a cost of $80 per team.
There are seven players per team, with the option of adding one additional alternate player, and registration forms can be picked up at the school main office.
Admission to the event is $5, or $3 for students.
Prizes will be awarded and all proceeds will benefit the Eureka High 2019 Safe and Sober.
