The Ferndale boys basketball team secured a 61-56 win at Archbishop Hanna in Sonoma on Friday.

Kyler Becksted led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 points, while teammate Tristen Martin had a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.

The Cats improved to 9-15 on the season with the win, while the home team dropped to 13-15.

Gio Magdaleno was instrumental in the victory, helping break a dangerous Hawks pressure defense with his ball handling.

Cody Sampson also had a big game, finishing with nine points.

Magdaleno added nine points.
