College of the Redwoods men’s basketball dropped to 0-20 on the season with a 73-60 loss at home to Simpson JV on Wednesday evening.
Logan Thrap scored a team-high 16 points in the loss, while Elysha Jackson added 12 points and Tristen Bryant 10.
“We came out flat and with low energy in the first half and got ourselves in a big hole,” said CR head coach Darren Turpin, whose team trailed by 21 at halftime.
“Tristen gave us a big spark coming out of the halftime, and we showed that we could compete at a high level,” the coach added. “If we can put it together for 40 minutes we will shake the (Golden Valley Conference) up.”
